F1 season heading to another frenzied end with one point separating McLaren's Lewis Hamilton from Ferrari's Felipe Massa. If the stewards this year continue to behave as they have so far, viz. abominably, no surprise if the Reds come out on top.

uff, such a boring sport has this eff-one become. i find that i find the sport of Treacle Dripping Off The Dining Table In Super Slo-Mo far more exciting.
sorry, but CART is so much more interesting to watch, despite the generally unexciting track configurations.

yes, exactly the same way they allowed McLaren to compete last year and this year as well when they should have been out of F1 for running a McFerrari. they are biased alright, not just for the team you seem to be pointing at...

saab-ji there is no doubt that, as the motoring hacks never tire of telling us, F1 is the "pinnacle" of motorsport. which may be true technologically speaking. but the heart has been ripped out of the sport with the obscene amounts of money spent on development by the major teams.
i mean hundreds of millions of dollars on engine, chassis and aerodynamic development! and most of that going into making it safer. which is fine, cos nobody wants to see repeats of what happened to ronny peterson, gille vileneuve, roland ratsenburger, or the great senna.
but whatever happened to the spirit of the thing? F1 grew out of a bunch of petrolheads trying to outdo each other in makeshift garages -- and a combination of driver skill and individual engineering genius made the sport thrilling and exciting in a way that the stately (if frighteningly fast) procession of today’s chariots on fire can never be.
i find champ car (and even the corny nascar) more exciting to watch cos the cars are constantly overtaking each other, going (literally) toe to toe with each other. zip-zip-zip. the way racing ought to be.
hell, even rally cars are more intersting to watch. (and i’d give my right pinky fingernail to be able to do a powerslide a la colin mcrae or tommi makinnen.)
